COVID-19 Procedures 2021-2022 School Year

Placer Learning Center is committed to provide the safest environment possible for both staff and students during this uncertain time of ever changing Covid threats.  As such, Placer Learning Center has adopted the following protocols to for both staff, students and visitors to our campus to insure the protection for all. 

 -CA School Staff Vaccine Mandate/Testing:

Placer Learning Center does not mandate that all staff and students are vaccinated.  

-All staff have been required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or re required to have weekly testing. 

-Unvaccinated staff are tested once weekly via in house PCR testing that is sent to a lab for certified results. Placer Learning Center Administrators as well as staff  receive lab certified results within 48 hours. Any testing that results in a positive COVID-19 test are handled in accordance with CA Department of Health/Placer County Department of Health guidelines.

 -Exposure/Symptoms Guidelines:

-Those who are infected or have symptoms of COVID-19 must isolate regardless of vaccination status and its recommended they get tested immediately. 

-Students, teachers and staff can end isolation five days after their initial positive test or the onset of symptoms, or if they are fever-free for 24 hours without using fever-reducing medication and their symptoms have improved. Via new CDC COVID-19 quarantine/isolation guidelines. Once they return to school they must comply with all masking mandates.

-If students, teachers or staff who are infected still have a fever or if their symptoms haven’t improved after five days, the CDC recommends staying in isolation until they are fever-free, without using fever-reducing medicine, and other symptoms have improved.
